In 2006, Vy&Elle entered into an exclusive supplier licensing agreement with MMT for the supply of its billboard needs. In less than a decade, MMT has become the largest computer imaging company in the world, and the undisputed leader in the development of large, photographic digital graphics. MMT emerged in 1987 with an innovative process, a computer technology that replaced the slower, less exact methods that continue to exist in outdoor billboard production.
Operating in six continents, and serving clients in over 145 countries, MMT is everywhere, producing consistently accurate computer imaging. With access to waste and first-run billboards, MMT offers the perfect partnership of unlimited supply to Vy&Elle of consistent quality billboards that would otherwise be considered waste.
"We could not have chosen a better partner than MMT to supply us with vinyl faces and coordinate logistics," said Nicky Freegard, President and Managing Partner of Vy&Elle. "Their national reach has made vinyl pick-up and deliveries quick and easy, and their relationships with the best brands in the business has really broadened our palette of products."
"They get what we do, and want to participate in recycling in all areas as well as to assist our growth. They understand the need to be conscious and look toward a greener future for the billboard industry. Their concern for the environment and the creative possibilities our combined efforts bring to our clients is what really excited us about MMT and this partnership."
MMT recently cultivated Coca Cola® billboards that had been used for an outdoor campaign. Now Vy&Elle is turning the vinyl that would have ended up in landfills into one-of-a-kind Coca Cola bags and accessories for purchase in Coca Cola stores as well as for general distribution nationwide.
MMT also supplies unlimited quantities of general billboard vinyl for the Vy&Elle boutique line of products, offering a vast array of options in colors and finishes and expanding the choices for growth within the Vy&Elle line of products.
"Our relationship with Vy&Elle was a natural progression from the recycling efforts we started back in 1998, where we initially reclaimed faces from our outdoor partners, and processed them for reuse," said Jim Campbell, CEO and President of MMT. "In addition to Vy&Elle's most creative approach, our recycling efforts have now expanded to reclaiming vinyl that is being used in floor tile, industrial products, injection molding and alternative fuel."
